| Biografía |
The Habaneras Group was formed in October 1984 in the Barcelona neighbourhood of Poble Sec.
Arriving to the world of choral singing with the collaboration of accordion and piano teacher Manuel de los Ojos, Albert Tallet and Josep Lluís Romera took the initiative to form this group. The rehearsals were carried out on Tapioles Street, and their first concert was given at the Once performance hall. From this first performance, and after some restructuring, Ricard Pardó the current bass singer and guitarist, was incorporated into the group. After that, their professional path took off. After a succession of performances at Llantiol Hall in Barcelona, they recorded their first record entitled "Haveneres al Punt" in 1988, presenting it in the same performance hall and supported by the theatrical group Vol-Ras. From there, a period of performances began throughout Catalonia and other notable locations such as San Sebasitán, Bilbao, Santander, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Santiago de Compostela, Brussels, Finland and Sweden.
Also, in some festivals and contests such as "Havaneres inèdites de Scala Barcelona", "Mostra d'Havaneres Catalanes de Palamós", "Catada d'Havaneres de Calella de Palafrugell", and Muestra de canción de Lanzarote". One must also point out various appearances on different local and national radio stations, as well as TV networks such as "TV3" (Filiprim i La Cosa Nostra), "Televisión Española" (La Palmera), TV Sabadell and other local television stations. With twenty years of experience and having sung more than two thousand five hundred songs, they have drawn in the public by interpreting habaneras - from the newest to the most classical - that are liked by everyone, trying at every moment to sing them with good humour and professionalism. Above all, their greatest reward is the public gratitude and appreciation for this musical genre. The Habaneras Group Xarxa wants you to enjoy 20 more years of the Habanera world, and to thank all of those who have made their existence possible. |
